DESCRIPTION

The collaboration between Ethimo and Patrick Norguet has given rise to Swing, a collection of lounge and dining furniture with a dual structure: one an external metal layer, the other an internal layer made with slats of teak, the combination of which creates a balanced alternation of lines and materials.

About

Patrick Norguet

Patrick Norguet, a French fashion designer who has worked with such labels as Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Guerlain, and Christian Dior, received his final education at the EDSI, where he developed his signature eclectic aesthetic and in-depth understanding of materials and production methods.

He started his own design firm in the year 2000 and has since worked in the fields of industrial and interior design, in addition to devoting his time to the development of exhibitions for such companies as Van Cleef & Arpels and Renault. Norguet, who won the title of "Designer of the Year" in 2005, is a member of the generation responsible for popularizing the "french touch" abroad. He expertly translates Cappellini's theory of the union between fashion and design in his work, creating bold pieces with broad appeal.

He enjoys tapping into clients' feelings and intuition while designing for companies like Lancel, Cappellini, Poltrona Frau, Flaminia, Frighetto, Molteni&C, Gebruder Thonet Vienna, Maxdesign, Modus, Artifort, and Bernhardt. Works by him can be found in the permanent collections of museums all over the world, including New York's own Museum of Modern Art.
