Marc Sadler

Austrian-born Marc Sadler was born in Innsbrück in 1946. Sadler is a French national who has made Milan his home and place of business for a significant portion of his life. Sadler graduated from the prestigious Parisian art school ENSAD (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs) and immediately began to specialize in plastics, making important contributions to the development of new manufacturing techniques.

In the 1970s, Sadler found popularity as a designer of technical sports accessories after developing and patenting a thermoplastic ski boot with a symmetrical exterior. Working with sports companies was crucial to his success. In the 1990s, he worked closely with the Italian business Caber, which eventually became Lotto, and he also created a revolutionary back protector for the Dainese motorcycle brand, which is now on display at the Museum of Modern Art.
