About
Regina Medeiros
Belo Horizonte, Brazil-based glass artist Regina Medeiros. She received her degrees in Artistic Education from the Faculty of Fine Arts in So Paulo and in Drawing and Plastic Arts from the Faculty of Plastic Arts in 1988. The artist's first choice of medium at the time was ceramics, but she quickly ran into restrictions that prohibited her from realizing the designs in her head using that medium.
During this time, Medeiros' artistic career entered a new phase marked by her exploration with glass mediums. Regina's designs are all handmade and colored with oxides and gold components. Small variations in color are an inevitable byproduct of the handmade nature of the product. Regina Medeiros products are strictly for indoor use.
