The Farns Sideboard

The members of EOOS, Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl, were inspired to name themselves after one of the four horses that pulled the chariot of Helios, the sun god, in Ovid's Metamorphoses.

The term "poetic analysis" is used to define their method. A method for drawing inspiration from ancient rituals, stories, and visual traditions.

EOOS investigate the significance of human rituals in order to pose questions about design and offer their own interpretations. More than 130 design accolades, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro, have been awarded to the team for their efforts so far.

These three Austrian designers became friends while attending Vienna's University of Applied Arts. They are still city-based now, with their designs taking them anywhere from Milan to Toronto to New York to Herrenberg.
